Revista Suprema welcomes articles for a dossier on access to rights

2021-12-29

Suprema - Revista de Estudos Constitucionais, the scientific journal of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), is receiving articles and translations for the thematic dossier "The right to have rights". The dossier is organized by Oxford University professor Andreza Aruska de Souza Santos, director of the university's Brazilian Studies Programme and a member of Suprema's International Editorial Board.

The aim of the issue is to encourage debate about access to rights and justice, especially in the current social, political and economic climate. The works will be published in the fourth issue of the journal, which is scheduled for publication in the second half of 2022. Those interested have until 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2022 (Brasília time) to submit their articles and translations.

Submitting material

In addition to the papers submitted to the thematic dossier, the journal continually receives articles, reviews, and translations.

Submissions, both for the thematic dossier and for regular issues of the journal, must be made directly on Suprema's website.

Guidelines

Studies must be original, unpublished and must not be under evaluation in other journals or editorial spaces.

Articles may have up to three co-authors, with the primary requirement being a doctoral degree. Papers will be accepted in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and Italian.

Further guidelines on the presentation of the text and filling in the metadata should be followed in the call for papers for the thematic dossier and the editorial instructions available on the journal's website, otherwise the submission will be rejected.

Evaluation

The journal adopts to the double-blind peer review method, a technique that guarantees anonymity between the people reviewing the article and its respective author and allows for an impartial evaluation. To this end, it is essential that any kind of identification of the author is removed from the document.

The article is initially analyzed by Suprema's editorial team to check that it is in line with the journal's editorial line and the formal submission requirements. At this stage and the next, the articles are evaluated by at least two reviewers.

Information or queries on topics not listed on the journal's website can be obtained by e-mailing revistasuprema@stf.jus.br.
