Printed version of special edition of Suprema – Constitutional Studies Law Review available for purchase
The president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Chief Justice Luís Roberto Barroso, announced at the opening of the Plenary Session held this Wednesday (28) the release of the printed edition of the special issue of Suprema – Constitutional Studies Law Review, which features an interview with Ailton Krenak.
Indigenous political activist, professor, philosopher, poet, storyteller and writer, Krenak is a crucial author with must-reads such as Ideas to postpone the end of the World and Ancestral Future.
The printed edition is now available for purchase at both the physical and online stores of the STF Bookstore. The digital version of Suprema is available free of charge and can be downloaded from the journal’s official website.
In the interview, Krenak shares his reflections on the role of the Judiciary in advancing the rights of indigenous peoples, the strengthening of democracy, and the relationship between human beings and the Earth. In keeping with his intellectual path and thought, he analyzes the historical impacts of colonial processes and reaffirms the importance of embracing pathways that value the diversity of knowledge systems and lived experiences.
This issue concludes the thematic dossier “Structural litigation in Constitutional Jurisdiction: challenges, limitations, and breakthroughs,” that reflect the scholarly effort to propose formulations which allow the transition from a complex state of constitutional non-conformity to a scenario of respect for human rights, particularly those of the most vulnerable. It also includes three international articles.
