STF welcomes articles for second edition of Suprema - Revista de Estudos Constitucionais
The Federal Supreme Court (STF) is accepting articles for the second edition of Suprema - Revista de Estudos Constitucionais, an academic journal recently launched by the Court. For the next issue of the publication, in addition to continuous flow articles, studies related to the theme of the dossier "The role of institutions in tackling the covid-19 pandemic" will also be received. Those interested will have until 11:59 p.m. on August 23rd (Brasília time) to submit an article.
The second edition aims to promote reflection on the role played by institutions during the health crisis and the governance strategies adopted to maintain the performance of their duties. There were many needs to reconfigure the way institutions functioned, in terms of managing their staff, adapting their structures and providing their services and duties in the context of the pandemic.
Against this backdrop, the dossier to be launched aims to bring together unpublished articles and translations of previously published texts that analyze and discuss the work of institutions in this period experienced by Brazil and other countries.
Platform
Texts must be submitted via Suprema's OJS platform. The studies must be original, unpublished and must not be under evaluation in other journals or editorial spaces.
Articles may have up to three co-authors, with the primary requirement being a doctorate. Papers will be accepted in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and Italian.
Other guidelines on the presentation of the text and filling in the metadata must be completed following the guidelines set out in the notice, otherwise the submission will be rejected.
Evaluation
The journal adopts to the double-blind peer review method, a technique that guarantees anonymity between the people reviewing the article and its respective author and allows for an impartial evaluation. To this end, it is essential that any kind of identification of the author is removed from the document.
The article is initially analyzed by Suprema's editorial team to check that it is in line with the journal's editorial line and the formal submission requirements. At this stage and the next, the articles are evaluated by two reviwers using the double-blind system.
